Look a like - Buhner and Mantle

I don't know why but sometimes I think I have a players card but it's not that player.

I know that in 1988 Mantle wouldn't be playing but when I first looked at Jay Buhner Donruss card I thought I was seeing things and it was in fact a Mantle SP way before the mad Topps SP fashion.

I think it might be the pose, the way he's standing and preparing the swing but is also something in the face that immediately makes me think Buhner and Mantle just simple look-a-like.

Look a like - Thon and Mattingly

Today is an other look a like post.

Up there you see Dickie Thon in his 1991 Donruss card.

I got this card in a rack pack I bought. I like those fashion sets you know.

And the first time I was getting through the cards I got and looked at mister Thon card I thought I got a card of...

I confess I didn't remember Don Mattingly playing for any team in red unless Yankees decided to spice up the uniforms a bit.

But I swear that I had to make a lot of double takes to make sure Thon was no Mattingly.

I've searched for Thon cards and I might say he would make the Woman Perspective topic. I just need to get more cards of him.

Look a like - Reed and Hughes

I've been thinking about this for a long time. Well...not that long but for a time.

There are some players that look a like a lot like other players.

Maybe is just the 'sound of the lights' but in some photos, when I pull a card, I think I have a certain player and then I realize it is an other one.

Look at this example of a 2013 Topps card.

I don't know about you but I saw Phil Hughes in that photo!

I know I can't see far without my glasses but I think I could see that Reed and Hughes really look a like in both cards!
