Simply because they look good - woman perspective wanna be
I'm just posting this Musselman card because he looks good.
Sometimes I simply like to play gily girl and look at my cards from a narrow woman perspective and imagine if I were a teen (just for the sake of my adulthood) which players would make me go yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!
I think Musselman would make me look a lot to his card and his games...
But yet he's not quite there to fully apply to my Woman Perspective category. But almost.

Paul Molitor - Woman Perspective Post (Vintage Edition) II
I really need to start updating my Woman Perspective section.
Lets start revisiting one of the best, the one and only, Paul Molitor!
This time I bring you an example of a player that no matter the card he always look good!
Donruss Diamond Kings cards are well known and some of them can be a bit...well...strange to say the least.
But Paul Molitor can pull it just wonderfully!
I know he looks a bit chubby but a cute chubby like those teddy bears.
So based on this DK card I can picture how a Paul Molitor teddy bear would look like and I love it.

A Woman Perspective Trade
Returning from a much needed vacations (love natural Vitamin D) and I find a pack from Commishbob .
He was kind enough to think of my hardship for getting some packs to open and besides a bunch of cards he also got me two packs.
And those were not flagship packs but a Heritage rack pack and other for my beloved Allen & Ginter's.
But lets start with the singles Bob got me.
There was this specific mini pack with a note...
Nice joke and also nice cards!
Now I have my own Ba(t)chelor to star in my Woman Perspective collection.
But lets keep going.
And just to start with my moth hang open.
An auto card of Mark Portugal. That's awesome! And even more because he's playing for Houston.
It's now in the spotlight of my relic/auto binder.
And then my moth still hang even more.
That's my beloved Molitor!
Isn't he handsome!?
'Win a Pro Player For a Day!?'
Like can I still *win* Molitor!?
And not stopping to amaze me is this beauty.
Hope you have a dup Bob!
We are not so much of a fishing country anymore (I would blame UE for that but it's all other topic) but for sure it still can characterize a bit of what we are.
But I have to say that the words on the back, trying to teach a bit of Portuguese...they are more Spanish than other thing.
But they are close enough ;)
And 'Friend' is more 'Amigo'. The translation stated is more for 'Companion' or 'Mate'.
Unfortunately the last years we kind of change the 'exporting' product. Now we export people. High qualified people.
That's what crisis brought to us...
But lets keep going in a better tone.
Gypsy Queen is one of those sets that people usually have lots to say about.
I know there were some years that the photos were a bit weird. But looking at this handsome Sale card I can almost think it's 3D! Like those UFucus modes the new smartphones have.
It's like he's truly alive and ready to throw the ball.
Next is time for...SOME DUST!
Kenny Lofton is like taking a bath in dust people!
And Jeff Treadway looks like he's practicing Long Jump!
I hope Eric Anthony's foot was alright after that play.
And then Bob surprised me with some vintage cards.
And I must say they are all going to enter my Woman Perspective binder too!
Singleton and Palmer smiles are one of a kind in the game.
Even if Singleton reminds me of work.
I think this is my first Pete Rose card. And the Schmidt card is my first none-re-print-card of him.
After all these surprises lets check both packs.
First I opened the A&G's.
I got a mini Colon!
Yep...that was kind of a joke...He's one of the not-so-mini in the game.
For what I understand this year the mini backs only have the A&G's logo with no information.
That's ok with me because the usual info is not quite readable...
I got a bit of everything in this pack! Me truly happy!
I got an horizontal card of mister Strasburg and an insert card of Natural Wonders.
That's one bloody big stalagmites example! Quite nice.
I got a current player which I don't have much to say about...But then I got two vintage players.
Everytime I see a Brewers logo I'm expecting to see my Molitor but Yount is alright.
But then, the baseball cards gods were on my side and not only I got a Yankee (I don't get a lot of them...) but it's none less than mister Babe Ruth.
Now on Heritage rack pack.
I must say the cards I got were not the worst cases of photoshop by Topps.
Matt Dominguez got to be the less natural of all because he doesn't seem to have a chin.
Look! I got an insert 1st Draft of Johnny Bench! Hope he was not always on bench...
Chris Tillman is giving the daring look...Me like it!
Also got a some Rookie Stars that probably in a few years I'll be making a post trying to understand if they were truly Rookie Stars.
Still trying to get to were Jim Adduci is looking at. (I'm that bad...)
The second part of the pack unveils the promised blue border card which is none less than Buster Posey.
And I got one Dustin Ackley to add to my players collection.
Notice John Jaso magazine-look. I think Topps has some woman working for them.
I finish with an other Rookie Star. I always notice that there are no Yankees rookies in these cards. Well...it seems we always go for the old ones.
Also a common insert in other Heritage years is the Then & Now. Again I get Colon but Juan Marichal is an asset that makes it a good looking card.
Again I must thank Bob's kindness and thank for all the great cards and packs. It was pure joy opening them and see the cards.

Jonathan Lucroy - Woman Perspective post
It's time for an other post in this so beloved category.
I was remembered by BASEBALL DAD comment that I haven't made a Woman Perspective post in a while.
Shame on me!
And then I started to think about who this posts might be.
And then again shame on me!
Why!?
Because I haven't made a post about one of the first players that made me stare at his card.
So the post is about Jonathan Lucroy.
And it's my first catcher!
The card that made me stare is this pretty thing.
Me who likes those clouds of dust and see the uniforms got all dirty during the games had a blast with this card.
Catchers gear all dirty and a pretty face on top is something to make my day.
It's like gold!
And that's why I also got this card.
He's my Golden Dusty Boy.
(If I said 'Dirty' it would sound R rated and I want to keep the blog PG13.)
And that's why I checked to see if I had more cards of me.
I found I have his Rookie Card!
Wow!
Catcher in action!
That umpire there is blocking my spectacular view!
Topps photoshop a lot of things, even eyebrows! And they let that umpire to block the pretty thing that is Lucroy!?
I'm preparing some voodoo...I just don't know if for the umpire, the photographer or Topps.
But I'm also thinking about Lucroy's hairdresser.
What is that!?
It's a 'no no no'!
Thank baseball gods that Lucroy saw the light and changed the hairstyle.
That and keep showing in cards wearing the helmet.
And there is an other update.
The Beard!
That 2/3 days beard!
See!?
Ahhh the Beard...
Unfortunately there are few cards of Lucroy and I only have 4.
And if Topps has the exclusive for the next 2 years or so, I think I'll go ahead with the voodoo thing.

Madison Bumgarner - Woman Perspective post
And a new Woman Perspective post is underway!
And for the photo you should know for sure by now, if the title was not enough, that today I'm talking about mister Bumgarner.
2011 Topps Opening Day #201
In my oldest card of Bumgarner, which as you can see is just from 2011, he's featured without one thing that makes him what he is (a gorgeous man if you haven't figure it out already): the beard!
I know that this photo is probably (like 100%) from 2010.
But look at that baby face.
It's not strange that he tried to look a bit more mature and respectful letting grow the beard.
I know that there is something going on in the Giants clubhouse about beards, but besides the Madison beard I only like Pence's beard too.
Beard enough my boys!
2012 Topps Series One #103
At least for me.
Long arms.
Look at those loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg arms!
And the look over the shoulder is lightning strike for me.
He manage to face almost every single cardinal points with his body.
He knows how to rotate...
And pictures don't make me lie.
This one from yesterday Memorial Day game against A's proves it once more.
It's like ballet!
Madison seems to be dancing with the glove and the ball and the mound and the batter and the catcher and...Do you care to dance with me too?
Nevermind!
2012 Topps Archives #15
And to be a bit different, from 2012 Topps sets too, I got this beautiful Bumgarner card from Archives.
We have the rotation routine and a close up.
Give me more close ups that I'm happy!
Even this year Heritage close up!
And this photo reminds me too of an old school friend...
I haven't yet had the opportunity to buy some Heritage this year but I'll be looking at least for this card.
And to end my perspective over Bumgarner I show my last card of him, right from the 2013 Series One.
2013 Topps Series One #256
We end with the ballet routine from an other angle.
But who cares about which angle it is? I don't for sure.
Feel the softness, the gentleness, the tenderness that Madison inspire.

Stray Heart - Green Day
I lost my way
Oh baby this stray heart
Went to another
Can you recover baby?
Ohhh, you are the only one that I'm dreaming of
Your precious heart, was tron apart by me and you
You're not alone
Oh oh and now I'm where I belong
We're not alone
Oh oh I'll hold your heart and never let go
Oh oh and now I'm where I belong
We're not alone
Oh oh I'll hold your heart and never let go
Everything that I want
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just can't have you
I said a thousand times
And now a thousand one
We'll never part
I'll never stray again from you
This dog is destined for a home to your heart
And now a thousand one
We'll never part
I'll never stray again from you
This dog is destined for a home to your heart
We'll never part
I'll never stray again from you
You're not alone
Oh oh and now I'm where I belong
We're not alone
Oh oh I'll hold your heart and never let go
Everything that I want
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just can't have you
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just can't have you
You're not alone
Oh oh and now I'm where I belong
We're not alone
Oh oh I'll hold your heart and never let go
Oh oh and now I'm where I belong
We're not alone
Oh oh I'll hold your heart and never let go
Everything that I want
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just can't have you
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I want
I want from you
But I just can't have you
Everything that I need
I need from you
But I just...
Just can't have you

Will Clark - Woman Perspective Post (Vintage Edition)
Here I am with more woman perspective on the field.
And in vintage mood again.
Blame the fact I'm new to this hobby and to baseball history and I'm getting to know vintage stuff.
And back then there were a couple of players quite interesting.
By the title you akready know I'm talking about Will Clark.
I have cards of him from his early years in the ML so I got to know his younger side.
Look at that gentle smile. He looks like the boy next door.
Still trying to grow some beard.
But then looking at the action photo we see a sports boy. One of those that never leave the field until the last minute.
That is one good looking sporty boy!
And there is always a special thing about dirty uniforms...and tight ones too.
This card is not very flattering for Will but I've seen worse! But got to say that if it was for this single card I would not pay attention to Will.
I proclaim at this very moment that the Diamond Kings series are quite the enemy for women. It scares the hell out of us and keep us away from sports cards.
What is so good about early '90s in Upper Deck is that we get almost 2 full photos of the players. And that is a great example for Mister Clark.
On the front a giggling Will.
Yes.
That is giggling in my book.
Man giggling.
But giggling.
And that is what draws me to Will Clark. The fun going on. The good vibe he passes with his smile.
I think of Will like the vintage Hunter Pence.
All smiles most of the times but when he is at bat he has this serious and committed face.
Just look at the back photo. I think he was caught looking but the look on his face shows me he is up for quite the swing in the next pitch.
This is the rookie card of Will in my collection.
I know that the '87 cards of him are the ones regarded as his rookie cards. But this one is the one for me.
And it's from '86. A year before the ones released in '87. That's why the AVG stated in the card says it's from Minor League.
This card made me think if Will has something going on. Like a small accident or so that made him have the lip a bit turned upside down on the left.
But really. It makes me want to pat him.
Yep.
Pat him.
That twisted smile makes me want to pat him.
'87 was the true rookie year for Clark in the Majors and here he is in the dugout.
The first year is always scary. He seems a bit lost.
I want to pat him again.
And those black eyes...uhhhhhh Makes his face longer!
Can I say I want to hug him?
Ahhh the sophomore year.
Even the black eyes are bigger! No more longer face but a man face.
Young Clark has grown up quite nice!
Except for the spectacles. Was it fashion back in the '80s?
But in Will everything looks great.
And he seems more accustomed with all the people.
But really, where are the women? With Clark in the field the women should be the majority in the stands!
Ahhhh ok. I understand. They have all fainted already.
This is the last card of Will Clark I have in my collection.
I have saved the best for last.
I don't know why, and cannot really explain why I like this card so much.
There is no smile nor a great pose to the photo.
It's simply Will Clark.
