Star Wars Rogue One - take VI

Are you ready to something cool!?

Well, at least I think it is pretty cool!

Not mind blowing but it's something I've never seen before in a TOPPS set.

You see, I got this card and a couple more with other characters.

You can see in the left circle, almost transparent, it's Jyn's face.

I got these cards and I thought...'what a bloody hell TOPPS! What is this piece of cardboard for?'

I truly thought they were just stupid fillers and TOPPS were just f*ing with me for spending money on this.

But then I got this card.

You cannot get it right because scanning a really transparent card is quite difficult.

Yep. The white parts you see on the picture are transparent.

And that was the moment I got it!

You bastards! That card was not a stupid filler! It was just incomplete without the other half!

Here. Put the two together and there was magic happening.

I know...it's not something from an other world. But it's TOPPS here! This is quite off-the-box for them. Well...at least for what I've seen in their sets.

And I tell you again. What a little precious baby this is!

And this is why I need to buy more packs...

And please, stay tuned for the last post because I'll show you my favourite cards.

My mini-Neymar

Remember this post?

I promised the other mini-figures. It seems I thought I had more but my cousin got the Piqué mini-figure and I got an other Neymar. So I only have one else to show you.

Here. My mini-Neymar in the alternative shirt.

Star Wars Rogue One - take V

Tell me, after the last post you're still with me? Good. Because I promise you this post is way better than the last one.

And that is not quite difficult because it really was a pain...

You can't see because the scanner seems to not be able to get it right, but these two are parallels. You know, those all shiny and refractor style.

It's like an obligation for TOPPS to make these kind of parallels in every set. But they look good thou.

Here you have more concept-comic-book-like cards. This is the new droid filling the C3PO role, it's the K-2S0 droid.

And we got the samurais too. The card is really good looking. Imagine it in a poster and it's awesome.

Just two more posts left. And I of course I left the best to the end.

Star Wars Rogue One - take IV

And since I've been doing nothing but saying awesomeness'es about TOPPS SW Rogue One trading cards here comes the less good post.

Less good or quite bad post.

TOPPS also put into the set a few cards with film pictures. But they should have stayed away from that.  Why?

Click on the picture to make it full screen.

The images seem taken from one of the original films back in the late '70s!

Wait...no. Those would look better than these ones.

This card the most. WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WERE YOU THINKING TOPPS!?

I don't know if they got the Intern to make screenshots from the youtube 140p version of the trailers.

Because it sure looks like that!

This is probably the best card from the bunch. And then my scanner go and cut it because it feels like that.

Ohhhhh well, wait for the upcoming posts that get better I assure you .

Star Wars Rogue One - take III

After so many bad-guys in previous post lets get some good ones in the house again.

Ohhhhhhh look! While I found difficult to get a Rey card in last year set, it seems I get all Jyn cards available.

And again...damn! This little baby looks so effin awesome I'm lost for better words!

I don't know who made the concept and put it into the cards, but I truly clap my hands dude!

This Storm Trooper cards is an other little baby I'd make a frame to put on my wall. That and make it my smartphone wallpaper too.

I'm mesmerized by these cards. And I will run you dry with the praise words until the next post...you'll see.

Star Wars Rogue One - take II

Did you like the previous cards of the new Star Wars Rogue One film!?

I bet you did. Because, like I said in the previous post, they ar a pretty thing to hold and collect.

Of course not all is good in the TOPPS trading cards world, and in a future post I'll show you just that. But for now lets keep posting pretty cards.

Well, it seem that this Director Krennic is the actual bad-guy here. He wears quite white cloths for a bad-guy. Only if he's thinking about snow and how to not be caught throwing snowballs against Darth Vader.

Ho Ho Ho

As you can see, the comic-book-look does the thing for this set. And we even get new Storm Troopers for this film.

Because they manage to make a new mask and uniform for them. I thought I've seen them all but I was wrong.

Don't know why, but I kinda love this 'Soldado da Morte' (Death Trooper) card a 'very big much'.

An other Samurai I think and a bunch of more Imperial Guards ready to chop your head off.

I got a lot of bad-guys cards. And I'm enjoying it!

Star Wars Rogue One - take I

Once again Disney is making big money with Star Wars franchise on Christmas.

Even when it's not a main title and it's with a spin-off or something like that.

The truth is that this universe is so enormous you can make the spin-offs you like that they will always end in the same path. Really. Just make the many forks you want. The end will be facing the almighty Darth Vader.

Sooooooooo

I saw these packs of TOPPS SW Rogue One trading cards and I'm weak. Very very weak.

I bought 10 packs each containing 5 cards.

You have the normal set and the obvious insert cards. The packs state the odds of them, but I can't figure out what is what so nevermind.

I'll just will show you the pretty cards because those are the ones that matter in the end.

Ohhhhhhh I got the heroine of the film!

I confess, that I've seen her in the trailers but only now I got to know her name.

She does really look like a badass! Kudos for that.

I think this is one of the samurais we see on the trailers.

Finally the SW films show the true inspiration for Jedis: Samurais.

All these cards are beautiful. The colours, the texture feeling you get is very good.

They truly look, in the hand, like mini-painting. That's because they are like concept-like shoots. Or like out of a comic book!

I don't know why TOPPS chose this kind of look on the cards, but I must tell you they bet good on this one.

And I end with the always present Darth Vader.

Now I'll just have some cookies. Muahahahaha
