Damn. Didn't realize that Gwynn was already starting to put on the pounds by 1991. No matter... the weight didn't slow him down.

That gut never hurt his swing for sure. That's a cool thing about baseball, Jose Altuve (he's smaller than the Astros' bat boys) and Frank Howard can both be successful at the same thing, hitting a baseball.
Poor Altuve..Always talking about how *not* tall he is.. =PEven with his short height he's an *astro* ;)
