Star Wars - keeping warm for December

Now that Rogue One is on Blue Ray and DVD for everyone to enjoy and we already have the first Eps8 trailer let see the last cards I got for Rogue One.

I got short by around 10 cards for completing the collection...ohhhhh well

Cannot wait, not only to see the new film but also to know what Topps will do about the cards. Hope they follow the great looking style they developed for Rogue One. Really liked the style and look of the cards.

Star Wars - are you even ready for more Rogue One?

You know...Real life sometimes is a total b*tch so I couldn't post sooner.

I know I was showing my Topps cards but meanwhile got more Star Wars cards and I'm almost completing the collection! I'm what...10 short of getting them all, I think.

The Girl Power in the original series and then in the prequel was there, by Leia and Padmé, but now in the sequel and spin-offs it is even more visible that Disney is betting high on it.

One of my favourite is the transparent Krennic. Thsi guy gives me the chills...

Star Wars Rogue One - take VIII

I have yet to go and watch the new Rogue One.

The holidays take over and everything we thought and schedule to do...but it all change.

But! I had time to buy some more packs and enjoy them in my new binder.

I found the official binder and now I cannot stop looking at the puzzle cards...One beautiful view.

But for now, I'm showing the individual cards.

Really...the cards are pretty. The X-Wing card looks like a concept design and I can only picture it in a t-shirt or a poster.

This Jyn card does shine. But my scan think it can only shine for me so here it only looks like a red-border card.

I love the bad guy! He has the best shots and his cards are almost as good as the Darth Vader cards!

Speaking of Vader...here he is.

He's looking at you Jyn. And he's saying you cannot go and play with Leia. You two when get together always manage to rebel away.

I never enjoyed before, a set where almost all cards are all concept and design looks, instead of film frames.

I think even Topps knows the film story is not what really matters.

Make room for Krennic!

It's a shame that, I know and I'm always saying those are great cards, but Topps use the same picture for different cards, and they could avoid that.

I only forgive them because the artwork, and photoshop, is quite good, and the cards end up feeling different, even with the same picture.

 When I got the official binder, inside there was a poster with the cards list. And then was when I found that the last cards on the set are sticker-cards.

All these 4 cards are sticker cards. They have a place to stick on the poster, but I won't do that. I prefer having them as cards.

And the last one is a Special Edition Jyn card. There was one with the binder but then I got an other in a random pack I bought. Call it lucky I think.

Star Wars Rogue One - take VII

Are you ready for the last Rogue One post!?

Well, at least until I buy more packs. Which I forgot to tell you are 1€ each, which means it's around 1$ too. For 5 cards...it's a bit. But they are pretty!

Lets get this is going on.

I really enjoyed the last card I've shown you in previous post. So choosing these two babies as my favourites in front of that one was quite difficult.

But they are Darth Vader cards!

And they are sooooooooooo red!

This is like the chosen one!

All black. Lots of red.

Darth Vader and Death Star.

I'd make a poster of it. And a t-shirt. And a pajama. And my apron. And my bed sheets. And everything else you might think of.

I might have  crush for the Jyn transparent card but I'm completely in love with this one!

Star Wars Rogue One - take VI

Are you ready to something cool!?

Well, at least I think it is pretty cool!

Not mind blowing but it's something I've never seen before in a TOPPS set.

You see, I got this card and a couple more with other characters.

You can see in the left circle, almost transparent, it's Jyn's face.

I got these cards and I thought...'what a bloody hell TOPPS! What is this piece of cardboard for?'

I truly thought they were just stupid fillers and TOPPS were just f*ing with me for spending money on this.

But then I got this card.

You cannot get it right because scanning a really transparent card is quite difficult.

Yep. The white parts you see on the picture are transparent.

And that was the moment I got it!

You bastards! That card was not a stupid filler! It was just incomplete without the other half!

Here. Put the two together and there was magic happening.

I know...it's not something from an other world. But it's TOPPS here! This is quite off-the-box for them. Well...at least for what I've seen in their sets.

And I tell you again. What a little precious baby this is!

And this is why I need to buy more packs...

Star Wars Rogue One - take V

Tell me, after the last post you're still with me? Good. Because I promise you this post is way better than the last one.

And that is not quite difficult because it really was a pain...

You can't see because the scanner seems to not be able to get it right, but these two are parallels. You know, those all shiny and refractor style.

It's like an obligation for TOPPS to make these kind of parallels in every set. But they look good thou.

Here you have more concept-comic-book-like cards. This is the new droid filling the C3PO role, it's the K-2S0 droid.

And we got the samurais too. The card is really good looking. Imagine it in a poster and it's awesome.

Just two more posts left. And I of course I left the best to the end.
