50 Cities of the World #7 Paris

We now travel from the British island to Europe mainland.

We are now in Paris, France.

A country well known for the "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" struggle and conquer.

Many in Europe listens to French anthem and feel it like their own because they were truly important to change the government system in our countries, from totalitarian kings to republics.

It was a turning point!

So to represent France we have Paris pictured in the card.

You can see the Senna river and the many bridges.

At the time they made the card there were not a single lock in the bridges.

The card back states the obvious tourist points that were important then and are still now!

That's the meaning of being timeless.

Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs Elysees...Are just a few.

Notice that there is no Eiffel tower in the picture nor stated in the back. Perhaps the original cards were made prior to the construction of the emblematic Paris symbol.

For me Paris is the last stage of the great Le Tour de France! If you've never seen it you must! Even if you don't like cycling or are simply downcast from all the Lance Armstrong thing. Go and see it!

For more Paris info check its wiki page.
