1998 Collector's Choice - That lunch box! (pack 11)
A DH player getting the spotlight is not something you see that much.
Unless your name is David Ortiz and almost carry your team alone on your shoulders.
But look at the detail that none of Martinez photos on the card are of him hitting.
We have him running and fielding! Nice touch.
I have to accept the fact that it seems I'm going to get a lot of dups...
Oh my dearest baseball gods!
I love you for all and most for this terrific I-get-no-words-to-describe-card
Magglio Ordoñez so young!?
I think I've never seen him with such a rookie face!
And look at the shirt. That's not a MLB team logo ;)
I have an other interview-card from UD 1994 set but featuring Bo Jackson.
They are fun cards.
I simply love this card.
It's a Ryne Sandberg Final Tribute card.
It's a silver parallel.
And you even get a slide to the 2B with some dust!
I won't ask for more...at least in this pack.
I end the pack with an other dup but one of those that I don't get tired of saying (and getting) that I don't mind. The photos are too good.

I always liked those cards !
ReplyDeleteCollector's Choice is quite a set!
DeleteThe silver bordered cards aren't parallels in the set - Upper Deck made the "stars" stand out by using the silver border for them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know..Thanks! I was basing it on '96 CC which had silver and gold parallels. Thought here was the same but it's cool that way too. I checked tradingcarddatabase and saw that Paul Molitor is in the checklist so I'm hoping to get it's silver card ;)
