1998 Collector's Choice - That lunch box! (pack 8)

Ken Griffey Jr. is really the 'lunch box boy'.

Would the card picture him with the Reds and the red SQ label would look better.

Two things in these two base cards.

Clemons is a Debut pitcher and I think both photos on the card are the same. Or at least 'a frame to the side'.

And Scott Karl with a bossy pitcher stand but in the back he's hitting.

Pay extra attention!

He's hitting! Not bunting!

And the ball seems to be at least flying to the outfield!

And a multi-frame-action-card!

Perez here features one of the best cards I got so far!

It's one of those cards that makes us keep staring for a while...

And a big Bagwell sticker!

I liked the Astros version that I knew back in '09 and that was replaced by the vintage version last year.

Sorry Astros rainbow fans but about old Astros uniforms and symbols I prefer this version.

I think Astros, and probably White Sox, might have changed the most over the years no?

Javier Valentin Rookie Class cards is my favourite of the insert set until now.

And it's not only because of the shinning smile.

  1. Nice Bagwell. One of my favorite things about Collector's Choice was their Stick Ums insert set.

    1. Good thing they have the same size as the cards so I can manage them as so. No more note books to stick'em ;)

  2. White Sox did a LOT of changing from the mid 70's through 1990. But they have kept (basically) The same look now for 24 years, and I hope they don't change it. The script Sox has been their best logo, from the late 50's in black and red, into the early 70's in straight red and now with the black and white.

    1. Thanks for the input ;)
I only know about a couple of uniforms because of the more vintage cards I got.
